Hi, I'm Jess!
Artemis Firearms Training was created to help new shooters have a positive introduction to the firearms community.

Starting something new (especially with firearms) can be intimidating. To help combat that, I strive to provide an intimidation and fear free environment by encouraging safety and learning at your own pace.

I welcome students from all walks of life.
If you want to learn, I want to teach you.​
Female Representation
Let's be honest. The firearms community is male-dominated and not always welcoming. That's where Artemis Firearms Training comes in.
I am a young female instructor determined to change the narrative when it comes to women and guns. (The only time I'll recommend a small pink revolver is if it suits your needs and YOU want it.)
​
As a woman, I know that a lot of instructors, shops, and ranges can be stand-offish or even condescending. You deserve better.
For me, Artemis Firearms Training isn't just the name of my business, it's a lifestyle, a mindset, and an inspiration.
Why Artemis?
In Artemis' lore, she is fierce and free of societal expectations. She runs through nature with her dogs and spends time with her loyal friends. She set boundaries and ensures they are respected.

Artemis lives her life they way she wants to and is more than capable of protecting herself and those she loves.
​
Though she is typically associated with a bow and silver arrows, I like to think that modern reinterpretations of Artemis would show her with a firearm (or two).
​
To me, she represents sisterhood, independence, and fierce loyalty. I work everyday to live those values. And I hope my students walk away with a renewed passion for those values.

My Philosophies
We go at YOUR pace, not a pace someone else thinks you should go at.

If you don't want to shoot, you don't shoot. If you want to stop shooting, we stop. At any time.

I believe in preventative and preemptive training over reactionary training.
​
Proper firearm fundamentals and safety can be taught without yelling or intimidation.
​
You can learn to shoot any firearm.
